										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong><b>Terms and Conditions</b></strong></p>
<p>The terms and conditions apply to all participants who participate in UBD Ruby Run 2025. By participating in the event, the participants automatically accept our Terms &amp; Conditions.</p>
<p>UBD Ruby Run 2025 has the right to suspend or close the registration without prior notice. Participants must possess valid Brunei Identification Card (Yellow, Purple/Red, Green).</p>
<p>Registration and payments for the event should only be made solely at the provided online form or in alternative ways conducted by the Organising Committee only.</p>
<p>All information must be TRUE, false identity may cause disqualification.</p>
<p>Participants need to e-mail the organiser at oara.events@ubd.edu.bn if they faced the following issues:</p>
<p>Payment does not get through</p>
<p>Changes of information – For all changes or amendments of any kind such as T-shirt sizes, participants will need to send an e-mail with the run category and the amendments before the closing of registration.</p>
<p>Any updated details and amendments (if applicable).</p>
<p>The personal data of the participants are stored and will be used only for the events.</p>
<p>Only those who finish the 5KM and 10 KM will be entitled to a Finisher’s medal.</p>
<p>The 5KM and 10KM Categories are limited to 300 participants.</p>
<p>It is the responsibility of the participants to make sure that they are medically fit and capable of running the 5KM and 10 KM.</p>
<p>Participation in the event is entirely at your own risk and, by entering the event, participants acknowledge that we shall not be liable for death, injury, loss or damage arising from participation in the event.</p>
<p>Participants for the Competitive Runs must be capable of completing the 5KM and10 KM full distance, start line to finish line, with the event time requirement of 1 hour and 30 minutes for 5KM and 2 hours and 30 minutes for 10KM.</p>
<p>It is the responsibility of the participants to be well-versed in the running routes.</p>
<p>Every Competitive Run participant shall be provided with a bib number which shall be worn on the front during the event.</p>
<p>Any participants who intentionally shorten the route of the race or cut the course shall be immediately disqualified from the event.</p>
<p>Participants must pass all the assigned checkpoints in order to be qualified as finishers.</p>
<p>Participants who feel unwell are not encouraged to participate in the event.</p>
<p>Registered participants are encouraged to wear the UBD Ruby Run 2025 T-shirt and appropriate sports attire during the run event (no short and revealing pants are allowed for women participants).</p>
<p>In the event of rain or adverse weather, the event will be postponed to 45 minutes (10KM Flag-offs from 6.15 a.m. to 7.00 a.m., 3KM and 5KM Flag-offs from 6.30 a.m. to 7.15 a.m.).</p>
<p>Should the rain persists until 7.30 a.m., the run event will be postponed to a later date.</p>
<p>The run event will be cancelled if there is lightning and strong wind occurs around the event areas.</p>
<p>Please be informed that the registration fees are non-refundable.</p>
<p>UBD Ruby Run 2025 reserves the right to update the Terms &amp; Conditions before the events, the updated version will then be shared with all participants via e-mail.</p>
<p>Each participant agrees to give the right to UBD Ruby Run 2025 Organising Committee to use and publish any photographs, film, video and electronic representation throughout the event including, but not limited to the Instagram Tag, #UBDRubyRun2025 and others.</p>

<p class="p6">By registering and participating in the Shell V-Power Walk-A-Hunt (“the Event”), you agree to be bound by these Terms &amp; Conditions and any decisions of <b>Brunei Shell Marketing Company Sendirian Berhad</b> (“BSM”) in relation to and in connection with the Event. These Terms &amp; Conditions apply to any and all services, programs, events, and goods provided and/or arranged by BSM as follows:</p>
<ol class="ol1">
<li class="li6">1. The Event will be held for one (1) day only from 6:00AM to 11:00AM on Sunday, 25<sup>th</sup> September 2022 at Taman Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien and the surrounding areas in Bandar Seri Begawan.</li>
</ol>
<p class="p9"><span class="s1">WHO CAN ENTER</span></p>
<ol class="ol1">
<li class="li6">2. Registrants must be aged 18 years old and above to be eligible as a participant.</li>
</ol>
<ol class="ol1">
<li class="li9"><span class="s2">3. </span>The following are not eligible to participate in the Event:</li>
</ol>
<ol class="ol1">
<li style="list-style-type: none;">
<ol class="ol2">
<li class="li6">a. All permanent and/or contract employees of BSM and their registered immediate family (i.e. spouses, children, parents, brothers, sisters, &#8211; in-laws) are not eligible to participate in the Event.</li>

<li class="li6">b. All agencies and/or service providers engaged by BSM (including but not limited to advertising agencies, promotions agencies, printing companies, event management agencies and any persons assisting or who are involved in the Event) and their employees.</li>

<li class="li9"><span class="s2">4. </span>BSM reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not meet the terms and conditions of the Event.</li>

<p class="p9"><span class="s1">HOW TO ENTER</span></p>

<li class="li9"><span class="s2">5. </span>Participation for each ENTRY shall be:</li>

<li class="li9"><span class="s2">7. </span>There are prizes given to the top 5 teams with the highest number of correct answers, completed challenges, and in the shortest amount of time.</li>

<li class="li9"><span class="s2">8. </span>Winners will be announced on the same day of the Event during the prize presentation ceremony.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>In the event if the winners are not present during the prize presentation ceremony, the prize shall be deemed to be forfeited by that winning team and will be awarded to the next winning team.</li>

<li class="li9"><span class="s2">9. </span>Prizes to be won will comprise of return flight tickets and/or air miles for all the members of the team for available flight routes on Royal Brunei Airlines only.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></li>

<li class="li9"><span class="s2">10. </span>The prizes are as follows:</li>
<li class="li9">a. First Prize: Return flight tickets “Choose Your ASEAN Destination!” for each member of the team;</li>
<li class="li9">b. Second Prize: Return flight tickets to Singapore for each member of the team;</li>
<li class="li9">c. Third Prize: Return flight tickets to Kota Kinabalu for each member of the team;</li>
<li class="li9">d. Fourth Prize: 2,000 Royal Skies Miles for each member of the team; and</li>
<li class="li9">e. Fifth Prize: 1,000 Royal Skies Miles for each member of the team.</li>

<li class="li9"><span class="s2">11. </span>All redeemable return flight tickets for First, Second and Third Prizes shall only be at the lowest published economy class rate of the winners’ chosen dates and limited to redeemable Royal Skiles Miles as follows:</li>
<li class="li9">a. First Prize: Up to 36,000 miles per person, inclusive of any surcharges;</li>
<li class="li9">b. Second Prize: Up to 32,000 miles per person, inclusive of any surcharges; and</li>
<li class="li9">c. Third Prize: Up to 15,000 miles per person, inclusive of any surcharges.</li>
</ol>

</ol>

<li style="list-style-type: none;">
<ol class="ol2">
<li class="li9"><span class="s2">12. </span>All prizes must be redeemed within three (3) months from the date of the Event.</li>

<li class="li9"><span class="s2">13. </span>The prizes are not transferable, or exchangeable for cash, credits or any other item or otherwise, either partially or wholly.</li>

<li class="li9"><span class="s2">14. </span>BSM reserves the right to, at any time and in its sole and absolute discretion to replace and/or substitute any of the prize(s) with any other items of a similar value.</li>

<p class="p6"><span class="s1">PERSONAL HEALTH RISKS &amp; PRECAUTIONS:</span></p>

<li class="li9"><span class="s2">15. </span>You must follow all posted instructions while at any event-related venue. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness, permanent disability, and death. By visiting an event-related venue, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.</li>

<ol class="ol2">
<li class="li9"><span class="s2">16. </span>You must follow the following COVID-19 and Ministry of Health Brunei Darussalam’s general guidelines:</li>
<li class="li9">a. If you feel unwell (i.e. fever, cough), you should stay at home and not participate in the Event.</li>
<li class="li9">b. If someone in your household has tested positive for the virus, you should stay at home or test negative before leaving home for the Event.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></li>
<li class="li9">c. If someone in your team has tested positive for the virus, you may register a new team member on the day of Event to meet the minimum number of team member requirement.</li>
<li class="li9">d. If you are with compromised health conditions, you should take greater preventive measures.</li>
</ol>

<li style="list-style-type: none;">
<ol class="ol2">
<li class="li9"><span class="s2">17. </span>While participating in the Event, you agree to comply with any public health and/or safety directions of Organising staff, representatives or contractors, police, government, or health authorities.</li>

<li class="li9"><span class="s2">18. </span> Participants are encouraged to wear a safety mask prior to starting the Event and after the Event ends.</li>

<p class="p6"><span class="s1">WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY:</span></p>

By registering to participate, you agree that BSM shall not be responsible for any death, injury, loss or damage suffered as a result of, or in connection with the Event and/or redemption or use of the prizes howsoever arising, including but not limited to, fulfilment of the prize(s), any error in computing chances, any breakdown or malfunction in any computer system or equipment, any notice which is misdirected and/or lost in the post, loss of income, profits or goodwill, direct or indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive or special damages of any party including third parties howsoever arising whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, termination or suspension by BSM of this Competition shall not entitle any party to any claim or compensation against BSM for any and all losses or damage suffered or incurred as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination or suspension.<span class="s4"> </span></li>

<p class="p6"><span class="s1">RELEASE OF PHOTOGRAPHS AND LIKENESSES OF PARTICIPANTS:</span></p>

<li class="li6">20. While the <b>Shell V-Power Walk-A-Hunt </b>commences, you understand and acknowledge that you may be photographed, videotaped, or otherwise filmed or recorded. By participating, you consent to the use of said recordings and files for publicity, promotional, and/or educational purposes (both soft copy and hard copy), to the fullest extent permitted by law. You are aware and hereby give your consent and waive all claims for compensation for use of the photographs, video footages, or otherwise film or recordings from the Event or for any damages arising thereto. You agree to allow your photo, video, or film alike to be used for any legitimate purposes by <b>BSM</b> and agencies and/or service providers engaged by BSM. You further agree to allow your basic information to be publicly announced if you were a winner of the Event.<span class="s5"> </span></li>

You further acknowledge that any and all costs incurred in this event are solely your responsibility; such costs including but are not limited to wireless internet access charges, equipment, preparation and travel-related costs.</li>

<p class="p6"><span class="s1">COPYRIGHT</span></p>
<ol class="ol1">
<li style="list-style-type: none;">
<ol class="ol2">
<li class="li6">23. You acknowledge that all game play materials, website, mobile application, and other content associated with the <b>Shell V-Power Walk-A-Hunt</b> are BSM’s property, which grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable, royalty-free license to use the <b>Shell V-Power Walk-A-Hunt</b> content for purposes of participation in the Event.</li>
</ol>
</li>
</ol>
<p class="p6"><span class="s1">CANCELLATION, ALTERATION, OR POSTPONEMENT</span></p>
<ol class="ol1">
<li style="list-style-type: none;">
<ol class="ol2">
<li class="li18"><span class="s2">24. </span>BSM reserves the right at any time in its sole and absolute discretion to determine and/or amend or vary these terms and conditions without prior notice, including but not limited to cancelling, terminating or suspending the Competition, the eligibility terms and criteria, the selection and number of winners, and the timing of any act to be done, and all participants shall be bound by these amendments.</li>

<li style="list-style-type: none;">
<ol class="ol2">
<li class="li6">25. You acknowledge that the Company may cancel or suspend the <b>Shell V-Power Walk-A-Hunt</b> at any time for any reason beyond its control; a <i>force majeure</i> event (e.g. a natural disaster, pandemic/epidemic, weather, act of fraud). In such cases, you will receive a full refund. You acknowledge that the <b>Shell V-Power Walk-A-Hunt </b>may be postponed to a later date of the Company&#8217;s choosing, and that refunds will not be issued in such a case, except if the Company decides to ultimately cancel the <b>Shell V-Power Walk-A-Hunt</b>.</li>
</ol>

</ol>
<p class="p6">The Event and these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Brunei and all participants (including the Winners) are deemed to have agreed to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Brunei Darussalam.</p>
<p class="p6">By registering your participation, you are deemed to have acknowledged, read and agree to the Terms and Conditions of participation, as stated above pertaining to the Event.</p>

</strong>It&#8217;s a race that can be done anytime, anywhere, at any pace, however you want it to be &#8211; walk, jog, run outside at the park or even inside on a treadmill! As long as it reaches the required distance, provided with evidence that you have done it.</p>
<p><strong>How does it work?</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>After registration and payment, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from us</li>
<li>As July kicks in, you may start walking, jogging, running or cycling! Track your progress by using your favourite tracking app, taking a photo of your treadmill screen, or keeping an eye on your GPS smart watch.</li>
<li>After finishing the required distance, you shall send your results to our google form<em>.</em></li>
<li>Upon verifying your submission, we will prepare your finisher kits and will be ready to be picked up at the end of October/November upon announcement at our office in Kuala Belait or Jerudong.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>Some Safety Precautions:</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Please avoid running in crowded areas and maintain at least one-meter distance between others.</li>
<li>Please do not loiter around after your run and avoid mass gatherings.</li>
<li>Be aware of your surroundings when running. Do not run on dangerous areas eg. on the road</li>
<li>Watch out for tripping hazards, like rocks, crevices, tree branches, and uneven surfaces.</li>
<li>If you are new to running, start out at a comfortable, slow pace. You can build up speed from there. You can also alternate between running and walking to start.</li>
<li>Make sure you warm-up and stretch thoroughly before you begin and cool your body down with light stretches when you return.</li>
<li>Drink plenty of water while you run. If you’re going out for a longer run, look for running routes near you that have water fountains or a place where you can leave a water bottle.</li>
<li>Allow at least one or two complete rest days per week to avoid over-training, which may cause injury.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>TERMS AND CONDITIONS<br />
</strong>Completion of the registration form confirms the Participants&#8217; agreement to abide by the Terms &amp; Conditions of the &#8220;Brunei Bersih Run&#8221;.<br />
Registration for the Event is only confirmed upon the payment of the relevant registration fee and the issuance of a receipt.<br />
Changes to race categories will not be entertained once registration has been submitted.<br />
Race registrations are non-transferable.<br />
The Participant agrees to provide true, accurate, current and complete information about himself/herself contained in the registration form and that if he/she provides any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or if the Organiser has grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, the Organiser may suspend or terminate his/her registration.<br />
By registering for the run, the Participant agrees to allow the Organiser to use the contact information provided to update the Participant on matters relating to the run.<br />
Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organiser to ensure the Participant&#8217;s safety, the Organiser shall not be liable for any death or injury, loss or damage, suffered or otherwise, howsoever arising.<br />
The Organiser reserves the right to delay the commencement of the run in the event of unforeseen situation. Should the unforeseen situation persist, the Organiser reserves the right to postpone or cancel the race without refund of fees.<br />
The Organiser reserve the right to amend any of the rules and regulations without giving prior notification or any reasons thereof.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>WHAT&#8217;S A VIRTUAL RUN?<br />
</strong>A virtual run is a run where you can run anywhere and anytime. You just have to keep proof of each run. For the Animal Dash, you don&#8217;t have to finish the run in one go. You can run as many times as you like, as long as it&#8217;s within the running period and it totals up to your chosen distance.</p>
<p>During your runs, keep track of your progress by taking pictures of your treadmill, smartwatch or snapping screenshots of your favourite running app. Once you have completed your distance, compile all your runs and upload your results onto our Google Form!</p>
<p><strong>DECLARATION<br />
</strong>Upon registration for the Animal Dash,<br />
I declare I am physically fit, able to participate in this event, and am able to complete the distance I have chosen.<br />
I acknowledge that race entry fees are non-refundable, and cannot be deferred towards a future race, nor can an entry be transferred from one race to another.<br />
I acknowledge that participation in this event is at my own risk and accept that participating in this event may involve a real risk of injury or death.<br />
I acknowledge that should I withdraw for whatever reason, the entry fee is non-refundable.<br />
I acknowledge that should I be unable to complete the distance I have chosen, I would forfeit my right to collect my race kit.<br />
I declare that I indemnify Mortar Events against any possible delay in the collection of my race kit as a result of extenuating circumstances, including but not limited to, the Covid-19 pandemic.<br />
I declare that I release Mortar Events from all claims connected with participation, and indemnify Mortar Events, sponsors, volunteers, and employees involved in this event directly or indirectly against all liability for any and all injury, loss, or damage connected with my participation.<br />
